Product
The new product we currently want to optimise is our reading intervention process for students aged 10-14, called Reading Copilot.
The aims of the Reading Copilot design are:
1. Age appropriateness.
2. Highly targeted to the learner (making results quicker).
3. Practical to deliver in a daily 15-minute group session.
Aims of the Board
The early version of Reading Copilot has been getting good results, but we want to optimise it for different settings.
The aim of our work with the Advisory Board is to get:
1. Direct feedback on the current design of the product from industry experts.
2. Feedback on the practical implementation of the product in different settings.
3. Suggestions of potential directions of development.
Process
The advisory board process is as follows:
1. Initial online 1:1 meeting, to demonstrate the Reading Copilot process and take immediate feedback and suggestions.
2. Recruitment of 2-3 test sites for small group implementation.
3. Feedback meeting on a 4-week trial in each site.
The process can be cancelled at any stage.
Time Required and Compensation
The whole process involves 2-5 hours of input from the advisory board member.
The product will be going through iterations of development and will have facilities added to it over time, such as an English Learner module. So there will be opportunities for further input, from the board members who want continued involvement.
The compensation rate for board member input is £270/$340 per hour.
